It’s true that in many ways we can all get involved in making our communities stronger, more prosperous and sustainable.

We can take action by taking part in community life, thinking environmentally and making our personal and working lives as sensitive to the needs of the environment and our community as we can.

Individuals and families

The actions of individuals, families here on the Isle of Wight will play a role in strengthening Island life and communities, but by taking action locally, we contribute to the strengthening of global communities and the better use of our planet. Some of the changes we face may be uncomfortable, but thinking and acting in a sustainable way is increasingly our only choice. Business

Business plays a great part in our lives. As employees, business owners and managers, we all have opportunities to create and promote a more sustainable Island and planet. Very often our decisions have unintended impact here and globally, often in remote and vulnerable communities around the world.
