The Economic and Environment Key Delivery Partnership

The Partnership provides leadership for the Thriving Island theme of Eco Island. The Partnership will bring together the knowledge, skills, ambitions and resources of Island and national organisations that can influence the realisation of our Eco island vision. Creating a prosperous and sustainable economy that is balanced with the needs of the planet and our local environment will be a challenge that the partnership is ready to tackle.

The Partnership brings together public, private, voluntary and community sectors to ensure that responsibilities and actions for delivering our economic and environmental priorities are shared. It also provides a governing body for the performance management of services.

The Board is the responsible body for the Local Area Agreement (LAA) and all of the Eco-Island Thriving Island objectives. The Board reports directly to the Island Strategic Partnership (ISP).

The Board will give a lead to working together to protect and enhance our natural environment and to enable sustainable economic growth.

The Partnership Board will be made up of three sub groups. These are Environment and Carbon Management; Economy and a Business Council.

The Partnership values and celebrates the diversity of people and communities on our Island. It recognises the need to work with the other ISP partnerships to deliver Eco island.
